Dr. Elgendy is an ERC-awardee group leader at the University Hospital Dresden, leading pioneering research on cancer metabolism, drug resistance, metastasis, and anti-tumor immunity. With an outstanding international career spanning multiple European research centers, he has received prestigious fellowships and awards, including Marie Curie fellowships and the ERC Starting Grant. His highly cited work has been published in leading journals such as Cancer Cell, Molecular Cell, Nature Communications, and The Journal of Clinical Investigation. Alongside his scientific achievements, he is an experienced mentor who has supervised numerous postdoctoral, doctoral, and undergraduate researchers.
