Dr. Özlen Konu received her MS and PhD degrees from the Biology Department at Texas Tech University in 1992 and 1999, respectively. She was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Tennessee at Memphis during 2000-2002. Since September 2002, she is a faculty member at the Dept. Molecular Biology and Genetics, Bilkent University. Dr. Konu’s research interests include web tool development for comparative transcriptomics to understand mechanisms of cancer signaling as well as chronic disease development. Her lab also conducts functional and multi-omics screens to identify early biomarkers for the transition from fatty liver to steatohepatitis using the zebrafish model.
